Gregga
hi there. ive got a v2 and found it much quicker than the v1. because its quicker you can get higher jumps and a lil bit more hang time off the v2. so if i were u i would go for a Venom II

Joe2003
there isnt a great deal of difference. Size for size they are abit quicker and they turn abit sharper. Think the main improvement they made was triangle patches on the TE to straighten it out. Not realy worth it if the v2 cost alot more tbh
Batho_777
Thanks Joe, Interesting stance....will keep looking Cheers
spiky_dave
Worth it for the bigger sizes (13/16/19), not so worth it in the smaller, IMHO
Joe2003
I have flowen the VI 16 and the VII, I think I would only spend £30-£40 extra on the VII, more and I honestly dont think its worth it. im still flying phantoms. The VII 16 is a feckin awesome kite though
andrewjohn
Ey up Steve. I had both a 13 V1 and V2, and thought the V2 was much nicer. Can't really put my finger on why, just did. If she likes the Phanny's what about a 16m Scorpion? Cheap as chips from Skymonster. Thinking of getting one myself.

Krazy Kiter
Scorpions are very different kites. I havnt really flown one myself, so im just repeating what im told here:o . Scorpions are higher aspect, meaning that they turn faster etc, but arn't as stable or forgiving as a venom. Also i heard that there are some problems with getting them inflated, dont ask exactly how:confused: . Scopions are supposed to be a step up from the phatom, but when they came out loads of venom2 flyer brought them, realised that they didnt like them, so sold and got their v2s back again. casey
If you're used to flying Phantoms anyway, you should be very pleased with the results from a Scorpian
adamski
Having had... G11/Phantom/V/V11/Scorpion and now Synergy I have seen and felt the steps forward in design and use. The V11 is markedly faster turning, more rigid and controlable than the one... oh, and it produces more power M2 for M2. the 11 is laso MUCH easier to launch quickly. The Scorp CAN be an utter MARE to launch if not well inflated... once up... MUCH fun, use the speed and up you goooo!! If you feel like splashing out... synergy is stunning... REALLY... a big step forward in usability and power ... no bridles or pumps just giggles and go! (I have an unused V11 16m for sale btw... complete with bar and lines)
ruxtonn
agree with adam, have had the 10 and 13 VII. Great kites. Have replaced the 10m with a 10m synergy. The synergy is awesome, smooth, lifty and much much floatier.had a 13m scorpion demo, which was awesome when the the launch was sorted. Doesn't handle the gusts as well as the venom II but it has tons more lift. Have just picked up a 16m scorpion cheap and would advise anyone to consider the same. They are ridiculously cheap at the moment. Scorpion needs 100% inflation to launch, and you need to set the kite up to the conditions. Once you do, it beats the venoms IMO. Having had...
