Low wind foil kite...which one?

I have been thinking of buying a foil kite (as big lei's are a bit heavy) for low wind. Id like something from 5 - 15 mph to board with - although i expect 5mph is pushing it lol! I have been told about blades but i know many people get smashed up on blades so i will probably avoid them

Does anyone think i 6m rage would be any good? What other kites should i look at? I was thinking that i might be better off using a 6-7m foil and using longer lines than using a huge kite that is super slow.

Anyway, feel free to throw your advice at me :p

Our low wind kite is PL Reactor 8.3, or "Monstrosity" as we call it (cannot imagine how it is to ride the new size they made, a 10.4!!!) We are able to ride boards/buggies with it even at 5 knots and less! (although if it is less, there's pretty much no action, just freeride). Very good kite and very fast for its size. Doesn't give you much side pull, so probably just what you need. ;)

I had a go on a 6m Rage on Monday in wind of around 8-12 mph, didn't get a chance to try it with my buggy but it certainly had plenty of pull, slow turning tho with a bar, if I buy one its gonna be with handles. I've been offered the one I tried for £150 complete with lines and handles, its in good nick and is in the petrol colours, does anyone know if this is a good deal? I noticed that some shops are doing deals on new kites in samba colours, but im happy to go 2nd hand if the price is right.

you cant say that! everyones got to have a blade at some point, they are awesome kites:)

Very true. Look for a fixed bridle about 8-9mtrs or a depower foil from 12 to 15mtrs. If you want to go the flysurfer route you could have something even bigger like a 19.

Main brands to check out are Peterlynn, Ozone, Flexi and Flysurfer.
