Devoted1599968706
I don't know the right words, but I'm having some (not broken) broosed ribs due to a crash/bash . Does anyone know how long (app.) it will take before they feel normal again? It's been a week now and I really can't hang on my handels without pain, bodystretching and so on. No worries, I've seen the E.R. so I can't do more damage by kiting. Greetz
Junior
sounds like it could be fractured? brusied ribs will take a while to heal, the docs cant do owt about ribs, so just hang in there and be tough:D

I will testfly tomorrow to see if a harnas gives some relieve. So I'm sure I can forget about the jumps, but it would be nice to do a bit cruisin and some flatland tricks. (Let me refrase that...try some flatland tricks) bummer
B-Roc1599968665
I broke ribs skiing a long time ago. Don't recall how long it took to heal but I know it was a while. I recall laughing and sneezing hurt the most. I suffered a bone contusion on my knee two summers ago on July 1st. It was painful until the end of august but less painful when wrapped and supported. It ended my jogging until the following spring. If you need to get out - you might try wrapping your chest tight in an Ace style bandage. Other than that, there's not much one can do for busterd ribs.

mad munk
Not a rib but I damaged my shoulder around two years flying a mac bego at beaver castle. It has never recovered. I think these things need complete rest to get back to normal. I can not lift things above my head like my son as it really hurts
prescottspies
Dude if you cant lift your own son due to an injury from two years ago - see a doctor!!
castle
Ribs can take ages to become non painful, even when no actual break you can still have some pain a month after injury.

Crispy
I broke a couple of ribs a few years ago while karting - one of my (17st) mates drove into me at a hairpin - and I ended up in pain for four weeks. David Beckham broke his ribs at the same time, and unfortunately my boss's wife was a consultant at Manchester hospital, so my boss was obviously an expert on recovery times for broken ribs... it eventually turned out the reason I was still in pain after a month was because I'd bruised my spleen. The doctor's method of diagnosing a case of broken ribs was to squeeze my ribcage at various points until I screamed. Cheers for that. tszy
6 weeks at least - i broke some ribs on my left hand side falling through a roof, then I came off my mountain bike and did my right hand side. It took at least 6 weeks for each lot. Not very pleasant.
revilo88
I completely dislocated my kneecap longboarding(land) in march 06, on crutches for 4 weeks. Had to have a lot of physiotherapy to reduild my leg muscles . Still not right today, cant kneel down! Taught me a lesson; wear pads whatever activity you are doing! Devoted1599968706
6 weeks at least - i broke some ribs on my left hand side falling through a roof, then I came off my mountain bike and did my right hand side. Not very pleasant. Clever I tried to fly a kite after 10 days. I could last it for just over 2 minutes. Past week my chest was cranking and wining all over again. I think I need some more rest, but the wind is so freakin' good these days. It's like hanging a lollypop in front of a child. It's all he thinks about when he sees it. Same over here. (but then with the wind ofcourse)
