I now have a new seat (much beter than the original) and a non-RS backrest. Buggy for hours in comfort now:D

Plezzy
Just wondering what the max speed that people have got out of their rs buggies? I have only managed 32.7mph ???? ......that's pretty quick and I bet if felt fast. I did 34.7mph on beach with 3m Buster2, which was fast enough for me! However, only using a cheap bike speedo, which I need to calibrate against a GPS. Not done it so far and I'll be gutted if the speedo is reading high. Last time out I was convinced I'd gone faster, but didn't get over 30:( Paul.

icualice2
just out of interest, does any other seats fit into the rs?
mikeymustard
Theoretically a Libre seat ought to fit, their dimensions are similar
Maverick440
A Libre V-max seat will fit, however you are best runing this combo with Bigfoot lights as the libre seat is deaper. A Libre special seat is a direct swap, but why down grade the seat....... :D

Why not use cheap camping foam mat. Fitted 2/3rd way round the tube, secured with gaffa tape. Should fill out the siderail covers much better ... gavin wallbank
Been looking at a few RS buggy pics - has anyone found a decent front mudguard that fits ok. Have just fitted my buggybags TSG but still feel i might need a front mudguard to stop water from the front wheel when turning . Any pics or info greatly recieved

mikeymustard
Just made myself a mudguard out of a vinyl supermarket banner and piece of acrylic (also from a supermarket) and attached with cable ties. Cost? er nothing. Time spent making it? 20 mins max. If it works It'll be bob on, if not - nyeh (shrugs shoulders) Oh, and here's one I made earlier.... stopsleySnapper
http://www.monkeybike.co.uk/cgi-bin/sh000001.pl?REFPAGE=http%3a%2f%2fwww%2emonkeybike%2eco%2euk%2facatalog%2findex%2ehtml&WD=mudguard&SHOP=%20&PN=Honda_Z50J_Front_Mudguard___Black%2ehtml%23a1812#a1812 is what i put on mine in the winter or if im likely to be flying through water at any point. I drilled a hole in it and put the headstock bolt through it, but it would really be better being attached closer to the wheel using some other mounting method. Maverick440
I make all my mud guards out of Fibreglass.......... I originaly made a mould to produce them for bigfoot forks as fitted to my V-flex, but nobody wanted them........ Ive now made a cutom one for the original RS front fork, which has been sold with the Orange RS, and Ive just finished making another wider version which is being fitted to my new Super RS..........
