Adam F
Jarv, I have repainted my buggy numerous times... I find that Hammerite leaves brush marks if you use a small brush, Although i painted my new axle with a large'ish brush, and i really cant see any marks. http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/9739/axleuz0.jpg
ban
I just made my own swan necktrouble is now the weld is exposed, does anyone know if hammerite smooth leaves brush marks? also looking to fit some nice chequer plate flat pegs, has anyone else done this and how can i fit them(clamps perhaps). Put the tin of Hammerite into a bigger pot with boiling water about half way up. Leave for 5 mins & stir well. Use a good quality brush with short bristles & remember to put a second coat on as soon as its dry, don’t overload the brush.
Dick.tracy
Hi Jarv, nice pic in your signature. Hate to be picky, but it's Ralf, not Ralph! Sure you would like to know.
Maverick440
@Jarv, all my bugs including my RS have chequer plate foot pegs..... The best way is to go to B&Q and get some of there thin Aly Chequer plate they sell, then simply roll it around the foot peg and attach with two pop rivet's...........:D If I get a chance ill post some pictures later on. Incedently I also re paint all my bugs (trade mark Orange......) But I spray them in Two Pack polyester paint........
kevrees
I have decided to join the 'club' get myself a RS buggy. Just emailed Ralf with the order. Im getting it in blue, with swan-neck, 1.5m rear axle and back rest with frame extenders. Ralf is all out of the midi wheels until the end of march so will make do with the standard wheels for the time being. Look forward to getting it and having tremendous fun trying to cram it into the wifes metro when i go to the beach on the weekends, lol. I can see me having to invest in a roof rack before long. Just hope it will be big/wide enough to handle my 16 stone pie eating frame. Hoping to get a belly pan for it soon (just pm'd dangerous dan). Does anybody know anyone who could make a splash guard for it as i am hopeless at diy type stuff. Cheers, Kev

Rossp
sorry, my mistake.. 17,000 nope didnt think that, but seems to be going good and strong. jarv
I thought he WAS developing a freestyle bug!
stopsleySnapper
Ralf was/is developting a freestyle bug. Im not sure on the current status of it, last thing i heard they were going in for powder coating. He is making it in the same steel as the standard RS, so it is heavier than the flexi. Ralf has never actually seen a flexi buggy, so was shocked to see that it was so light. He doesnt want to use stainless, something to do with corrosion, i dont really know all about that, some of it might have gotten lost in translation. Details that i have is that its a 1m axle, 1.2m frame length with lighter forks. It weighs in at 12kg frame only. He obviously hasnt seen buggy jumping much, as when i showed him an image of stupid dave, he said he would consider making planes and not buggies if that was what they were going to do with them!! He also has the dual axle mod in mind to strengthen it up for anyone who wants to jump it.

My 17 stone svelte (that means slim ya dummies) figure fits the RS fine - it's a snug fit but I don't come out easily. As far as splash guard goes, either google Libre splashguard or contact Jon at buggybags.co.uk, he's currently testing a kevlar lined guard that acts as a belly pan too. You won't regret buying an RS as anyone who contributes to this thread will attest

Maverick440
One of the problems Ralf has is he's not a kiter or a buggyer so its difficult to develop the product, or know the market. Ive spoken to him regarding a stainless version, but he recons it would be to expensive!!! Not quite sure if by expensive he means UK expensive of Germany expensive...........LOL
kevrees
Ok, got the RS today (wohoo!). looks pretty sweet and solid - you can easily work out what bits go where. The only problem i found is how on earth do you fit the seat (will search the forums in a bit as i guess there will be some sort of explanation on here). Cant wait to test it out.
