We stayed at sandy point holiday park. it was good. not as pretty as Waratah bay. but pretty good none the less.

and it was straight across the road from the buggy beach and not too far to push lukins buggy :)

stay clear of shallow inlet caravan park (over the other side near yanakie)

Michael says Forster caravan park was good..

@Tiger37 Don't let reviews about management put you off as management has changed. It depends what you are looking for it's a small park and the facilites are old but clean so it gets the thumbs up from us.   As @igeighty said it's straight accross the road from the main beach you can't get any more convienent.

Can't help with Walkerville as we haven't stayed there but most parks in the area will be busy at this time so wherever you decide book early.

Also keep in mind there is often wildlife on the road at dusk/night so be careful at these times.

@Kathleen and @igeighty thanks for your advice. I do remember the good location from previous speed weeks when I stayed in shared houses but I never really looked at the facilities. I’ll try and book as soon as I can confirm being able to come. Have you guys booked in there yet? Cheers

Haven't booked yet @Tiger37 -

Maybe we could get an expression of interest going and make a group booking for the corner we stayed in before. I think I have a map somewhere of the sites, I will post it if I find it.

Emailed park to pre-book unpowered site 67, explaining that I would confirm 7 days in advance, should the weather turn out to be kerput and we need to reschedule.

Thanks Mez. I've spoken to them and booked site 58 opposite you guys, arriving on Fri 2 Nov. Again they were happy for me to confirm the week before. Lets now hope for good weather! Looking forward to the meet.

How's the weather shaping up for this so far our weather is starting to come through for us which is about a month later than last year

a cameo might be on the cards

Can never quite tell with Victorian weather @Grants but we have had some lovely warm days, with this weekend being particularly a nice one. There is a predicted cold front expected to move over the area between 29th Oct and 2nd Nov then again from 5th Nov onwards so 3rd and 4th Nov should be the best days if going by the rain fall predictions - cannot say what the wind will do though.

25 more sleeps until Tread Marks @ Sandy Point 2018

Yesterday, I was organising with the Foreshore Council and Waratah District Surf Life Club access for two members to park at the Surf Club house as they have difficulties getting their stuff up the hill at Sandy Point. The Council need to approve but Surf Club are quite happy to accommodate them to get them up on the beach.

Calendar Event to be posted shortly. Please RSVP so if we do decide to have a BBQ and/or Fish Creek meal, we can get it organised between us. Just waiting on a clearer forecast to be able to pick a BBQ day. We had a lovely Thunder Storm last year.
