kiteconvert
I'm 5.11 normal build 78 kilos-maybe slightly wide chest-43 ins and shoulders but nothing extreme. Im looking for a summer suit and so far have tried a mystic and an oneil in large but both have been quite a tight fit.im used to a fairly loose fitting suit with my current suits being a pryde and Spartan.my mate is also looking for a new suit-he has tried a cskins and a mormaii and has found just the same as me. Is this the modern way to make wetsuits a really tight fit ?Is there a brand out there that makes a looser fitting suit especially in the arms and shoulders? TIA nick

simon1976
i find Billabong Suits nice and flexible, this was confirmed by a friend who works in an outlet with loads of different brands, he says they are the most flexible, maybe try one. Would never have a mystic one personally as i find the seam across the back is bloody uncomfortable.

andrewjohn
What's the point in a loose fitting wetsuit? Any loose bits will just let water in and make you cold. I'm 5"10 and same weight as you, I had a large suit when I was 95 kg, it was fine then, but now is just useless so bought a medium and it's a perfect fit. Just try more brands, you'll find a good fit, but it has to be snug to work properly.
kiteconvert
my store reckons a pryde L52 is equivalent to to an xl oneil.so I have an xl coming this way. Idisagree about the loose fitting bit.i don't spend that much time in the water and hopefully not much water will come in the neck wrists. The 3mm Spartan I have is such a loose comfortable fit it is almost unnoticeable that you are wearing it.The mystic I tried felt like I was being squeezed by a boa!! broraboyan
The mystic is supposed to be tight in a large, I'm the same height as yourself 83kg I had mine for 3 years and it's done now and it's on its last legs.
ice1599968754
xcel are probably the best and most comfy. You get what you pay for though.
