, A good pilot with crap kites will always beat a crap pilot with good kites

So what about a crap pilot with crap kites?

Seriously tho, how much have race kites changed in the last 5 yrs. Well lets extend that to the Razor years of 2005 ish? Give me an idea of the speed difference but I guess it goes a lot deeper that that. Upwindness etc I assume.

Sorry have to say this Mick 13,830 posts WTF lol Do you do any flying ;)

I love the older Bora race kites and most of the time it comes down to the skill of the rider.

13831 to be exact. That's the beauty of being financially independent and not needing to work more than 20 hrs I guess. Yes I do fly but not a lot at night. Not flown on land since last year and tbh, the water side has all but taken over.

430 posts since 2004. Do try harder ffs.

13831 ffs. That is a lot isn't it. :(

Not strictly true tho is it. As said oilier, many of the older racers eg Boras, Razors, Raptors etc can be picked up for next to nowt and are they really that far behind the latest stuff in the hands of most of us ?

@ Gringo. While 50 mph is ok, its hardly race winning as a top speed surely? On that assumption, my Mk 1 Predator would be a contender. Mmm I don't think so.

In fact, looking at your impressive list of kites and buggies, I would have thought that 60 mph pb would have been the target.

Oh of course 60's in my sights too but one step at a time..lol
