Stvredmond
Me and Helen would like thank WSYC and especially Bladeaddict for inviting us up to Hoylake for the weekend. everything was last minute and bladeaddict along with all the other members we have met have made us very welcome. we were out from 10am till about 8pmish yesterday with 20-25 mph onshore winds and its looking even windier today If you have never been to hoylake make sure its on you to do list. The beach is amazing and you cant believe how big it is until you get here and walk out to it. They do a nice and easy day membership to get on the beach so there is no excuse not to come. Was brilliant to have a club trying to get new people on there beach instead on the normal palaver you have with getting day access to a particular beach. Many thanks WSYC, top weekend

auto-photos
Whats the simple and easy day membership process for up there.. can this be adopted by other restricted beaches..
Stvredmond
Auto. I payed the man, I got on the beach....no hassle. I got a shower and a kitchen incorporated in the price....brilliant weekend and no bull crap about this insurance or that insurance or having to apply in writing 2 weeks before hand allowing time for cheques clear. Just seemed like they wanted to have fliers on their beach instead of putting up barriers to keep it just for locals. Nick-- mark sherlock and steve warren were on the beach from half 10 with me and Helen. it was a bit cold but really solid wind. we clocked it at 28mph and was onshore. they seemed to be having a good time of it. was a different story on the flexi bugs with the soft sand
BladeAddict
Was good to meet you and Helen this weekend. Glad you enjoyed yourselves. Shame the high winds made the beach a bit soft but we got wind and sunshine so can't complain too much I'm happy to go out of my way to make it possible for kiters to come and share our great beach, you're welcome any time Auto
Stvredmond
hope you don't mind the tag in the walk of shame photo.....I couldn't resist. we will have to come back up in winter and try it when its a bit harder packed. the sand and wind this weekend allowed for some monstrous airs though. just a pig to get up wind
BladeAddict
It's not my first walk of shame and I very much doubt it will be my last

auto-photos
.. ted can you elaborate on this please.. Clsc at pembrey are looking for ways to make it easier for day flyers the probl3m we have there is.. we have a container with some valuable kit in it. .. we cant just go giving out codes to a day member etc so with that in mind and that we dont have a huge ammount of local flyers all the time to sign people in and out.. what would your suggestions be. The club needs to move forward... it needs fresh blood on its committee.. why not put yourself forward one year. .. get more from your local clubs . ? Stvredmond
in work at the moment so will pm you my suggestions later. i may be way out with whats possible but it seems feasable in my mind and wouldnt require anyone to go anywhere near the container let alone access it. As with trying to get on a committee...lol. i try to avoid kiting politics not get involved and mixed up with it
JamesK31
Shirley did a walk of shame tut tut Shirley Auto, Nothing any other beach in the world has will make pembrey better until they sack all the old farts who are scared to have fun and throw the you cant do that, you cant do this rule book away, anything easy and straight forward will get thrown out as it's not complicated enough. Will be using my long distance weekend passes for Hoy & les hemmes next year. No CLSC for me except no barriers & PKA events.
Stvredmond
would take you just as long to get to hoylake as it would pembrey wouldnt it? if i was a racer i think i would live at hoylake during the dry banks......its awsome. you could kite on the beach all day and not kite on the same bit of beach twice.
