gum-nuts
My favourite weather website (and app) is going through an upgrade, it includes new features like actual wind compared to forecast and a wind rose... http://wind.willyweather.com.au/wa/perth/rockingham.html eyrewaves
Chook
That is good Mark. Lots of info there. I use MetEye. http://www.bom.gov.au/australia/meteye/?loc=WA_FA001 Just click your cursor over any spot in Australia,or enter lat/lon,place name and it gives you an actual spot forecast of 6 square kilometres out to 7 days in 3 hourly intervals (when you click "detail" at the bottom of each day). It's constantly updated using all computer modelling and actual shipping and aircraft live data. I find it about 80% accurate out to 5-7 days. We use this almost exclusively for fire fighting, along with a live hookup to the duty officer at the bureau of met.
SparkieRob
I used to have about 3 or 4 weather apps on the go. Now I have sets of kites, indoor-SUL-UL-Std-Mid Vent-Vented-XTRA Vent... Still have yet to find the ideal "rain kite" but I reckon my B2 Rev would come close. Being a a kiting tragic I'll still check them out though. .Joel
Their site update is nice, much better on the iPad as well. That Wind-Rose means absolute balls when it has no historic data. They can purchase that historic data, but I would of thought they would of been archiving it over the years seeing as it's been fed via JSON and FTP feeds to them the past 5+ years. SoutherlyBuster
like the new features but is still a bit clunkie, suppose that will improve over time.
