people who think hey own the beach hoylake is one

Recommended Posts

that is not evidence, scanned letter from the council would be evidence

Oh we have all that and if you want to come to the club we will gladly show you it all

other than that can every one now please just responding to this tit (and im being very polite here) as it seems to me what ever we say he will just keep on bleating even though in reality he has no intention of ever even coming to Hoylake (after all if he cant afford the membership he cant afford the cost of getting there)

As far as im concerned i have answered all his concerns bar publishing club documents which i feel we have no obligation to do so in a public forum (any one is welcome to see them at the club where most are pinned on the various notice boards) and as such carrying this on is just letting a troll wind us all up.

welcome to my ignore list

i think that proves my point, the fact you wont post anything up and constant atempts from members to discredit me. the fact its gone on for 7 pages shows the flaws in your system and some of your members true colours ...... i have no problem getting there btw

Isn't a public forum one of the best places???

After reading these posts what would make someone want to join? It'll scare a newbie right off!

You have just answered your own question.

But to take it further. The trouble with public forums is anyone can make any accusation they want without any actual knowledge of the facts and then the accused has to defend themselves which is impossible when the accuser is not even interested in the facts.

Please read the thread closely you will notice I have politely answered all the questions (despite the fact i could of just ignored him which talking to others more and more officials of organisations are doing as it ain't worth the grief and waste of time) yet the accuser has constantly ignored my posts until like all the other less patient people on here I mildly insulted him and then he tries to use this to claim he's proved his point.

Feel free to make up your own mind who's right as to be honest I'm passed caring

where do you get the idea we are supposed to be providing a service for all wind based users lol dream on.

the council insisted we took full responsibilty etc in about 2002. We have never pushed the landboarding issue in the past

A monopoly that was not of our choosing but was thrust upon us with a alternative of a complete ban.

why so long?

Page 3, page 4 (relevant detail left out), page 4. Why carry on for so long?

why not, if its never been pushed since full responsibility in about 2002, what guarantees are there that it will ever change

i'd be interested to know how many boarders have been kicked off that beach over the years

Wow, think I might just join to spite him! lol Took me ages to read all that and apart from learning a little more about the club I feel I have wasted part of my life that I will be unable to get back, cheers weazel!

Fell free to come and have a nose with no obligation. There will be people around all weekend as we are running a first aid course for members (something else we waste our members fees on ;) )

From the sounds of all this it looks like Weazel is trying to find a loophole in the way the area is run by the club so he can landboard for free.

And from the replies i've seen it ain't gonna happen so get over yourself.

There is no landboarding allowed there at the moment.

There is a membership fee payable to the club there for traction sports that have been cleared and granted by the local council.

Your constant arguing, badgering, pigheadedness isn't going to change things that are not in the process of being changed so please Weazel.... Give it a rest.

this is a public forum. dont you think everyone should have access to the beach? the system is wrong, it wouldnt be hard to sort simple signs out like this with designated area's

Now who said we don't think everyone should have access to the beach for free ?

Correct but fix the system dont pick on us for working with it the best we can

We do have signs with designated area marked.

However

Get this in your thick skull. The council says no club = complete ban period .

So tell me how to get around that ?

and yes I know I said I was going to ignore you but I just can't help myself from seeing you continue to bury yourself

How about a club that has good relations with council and now is a position of trust so can make recommendations to get land boarders allowed (remember it is not the club currently stopping it but the councils)

Good luck to coupey and I realy hope it all works out for you all. But don't be surprised if this is just the thin end of the wedge and the council does not add more and more rules and restrictions over time like as happened at other places eg Weston,Pembrey,Pendine and currently Westward Ho !

Oh and I also hope in the interest of fairness you are going to suggest he also remembers to make sure land yachts are also allowed :)

We don't need to go any way. We're sorted and anyone who wants to join the club will be as well.

Sorry but, what a dick head.

My thoughts exactly.

Look forward to meeting you, you won't regret it, best £40 you'll have spent on kiting.

Weazel,

Thanks for the vote of confidence. However, the situation here is different from at Hoy. There is NO CLUB here, and nobody wanting to set up/be in a club. Therefore I have to post EVERYTHING up as I HAVE NO AUTHORITY to decide things myself on behalf of the kiting community. We are just lucky that ERYC didn't insist on it. At Hoylake they did insist. Once you have a club, it is committed to its members. If the members all decided to fly model aeroplanes instead, that is what the club would pursue. Join the club and you have a voice. Don't and you don't.
