GaRRy
While im pleased to see many people saying a) they might be interested nearer the time b) They would love to come but cant c) they would love to come but dont hink thye can right now They make no difference what so ever To make it clear if I dont have 20 definate entries by 10th August the event will simple not take place. So far two people have asked me for my address and one has sent me a cheque. I only looked into running this event because people seemed to imply they wanted it. So its now up to you to decide to enter and to push your mates etc into entering. and yes i know its only a few days so far so im not panicking just pointing out the facts and figures. Trikbitz
Why do we need to raise £300 I thought we had in house first aid cover When Bailey ran the club racing we all chipped in a couple of quid to cover feul for the JD No need for prizes. I raced a couple of weeks ago in DePanne cost 10 euros to enter race and we all got a very nice bottle of wine at the end.

Simple Jon We now have to pay money to community center for every open event (ie open to non members) we run. Plus fuel for vehicles Plus trophies Plus various other expenses eg I have to claim for travel as currently im still unemployed and cant afford to do otherwise (never used to and I dont claim for anything else) Even the first aid isnt actually free as next year the club will have to pay for refresher courses etc so while it saves us money over constantly paying for Red Cross its not free. Also now club has to pay other money out to HCC as well we cant afford to risk running at a loss unless you want to pay even more to be a member next year. Also dont PKA charge £25 a meet plus membership fee so as far as I can see this is cheapest race meet this year ? This is meant to be a full event not a simple club event for members. Of course if YOU want to run it free then feel free to do so

8015
Just to clarify - I mentioned the fact that I wouldn't be able to say for sure until just after the closing date just to let Garry know I was interested, I'm happy enough to pay the full whack for being a late entry. Anyway, based on todays lesson I should pass. Just got to keep on doing that well with a few minor improvements, and to be honest I only have to wait 3 days before trying again so I can't really see myself not having a license by then. As long as I pass it is my intention to be there that weekend whether there is an event or not, an event will just make it even sweeter

Nick1599968727
and to be honest jim id not bother going through liverpool, down m6, m56, m53 then the last little bit is easy. it looks a lot longer on paper but its quicker 9 times out of

8015
and to be honest jim id not bother going through liverpool, down m6, m56, m53 then the last little bit is easy. it looks a lot longer on paper but its quicker 9 times out of 10 Thanks for the advice Nick, but we long ago worked out we could save 30 minutes going through Liverpool, the secret is always travelling during the one time in 10, i.e. late at night or early morning! Even heading back out on a Sunday it takes no longer through the town. Besides I should know that way by now, I have spent years in passenger seats navigating - I have no idea if I'm any good from the driving seat but I would imagine I can still follow routes I know well. Since I am used to driving an hour and half at a time, I can stop at Southwaite, then at Asda at the end of the M58, and then have a shorter stint through Liverpool to Hoy What can possibly go wrong? I won't be driving to Luce on that basis, been 3 times and still no idea where the heck you are meant to turn in Stranraer Again I don't think finding my way to Kent would be much problem (it's mostly motorway), being able to drive for that long in one go and deal with SE traffic would! I'm sure my brother would love me to get the train down and buy his girlfriends car to drive back up with, unfortunately a fiesta would be no use to me Who emigrates from the wrong end of the country on August bank holiday anyway?
