rasga
I'd just like to say that it's nice that Kentman could come here, and discuss his views on Powerkite Magazine. It's nice that Dom (Skyhooked), who has edited the magazine for the last two issues responded. Previously, not all magazine editors would want to respond. Perhaps the tone that Dom took in some parts may have seemed strong, though he is in indeed a lovely chap and maybe that passion boiled over - it's happened to me before - we take our 'babies' seriously! That said, I don't think the responses by others to Kentmans further remarks were called for. Can we all keep this constructive. Thanks, Neil
wenglish
kentman, dont let this put you off the forum or the sport or the mag, things get a bit heated in here and sometimes things are taken out of context. some times you have to be a diplomat when you say something and its not an easy thing to do when your passionate about something in a way that many people on here are. Often a bit of banter can seem a bit strong and aggressive, this is something that is worse in some forums and forms part of the online community. once you have spent a bit of time in here you will get used to it and become part of it too but in your own way. sometimes it may be a subject you have no intreast in but decide to just have a look at and get involved without realiseing it, another time you could have a very strong view. i think this is a case where a bit of peace and love is needed stu

The Geoff
Liberal smiley use is encouraged I mostly agree with you Junior, like I said, it's refreshing to see someone getting into discussions at this level rather than hiding behind "Ed." Not precisely how I would have phrased it though, a bit harsh considering the guy was putting forward an honest opinion...just like the rest of us... Jim O'Hara
Here's a constructive comment, sorry if it has already been suggested: I would like to see different sites profiled in each magazine, with specific details about the best wind direction, best weather and tide stations to use, where to park, restrictions, camping sites, etc. Recently some people told me (in a nice way) go to the Gower Penninsula. Short of trying to search through the Gower thread on here that is something like 65 pages, how do I find out what beaches are there and the things I need to know before I go? All that info is out there in many different places, but who can spend hours trying to research a trip? I was fairly dissapointed in the last isssue of PK that the French beach those guys were on was never named. Anybody know what it was? Guest
Wassssup!!!! Hows it goin my homies? Thats as far as my "gangsta" is going! Dom spoke to me about it when editing it and i said what the hell do it, come on it was a bit of fun and dont worry I am not turning Gangsta. When i got a text saying the article was being talked about i was expecting it for some other reasons. Take a look at MBUK, Snowbaord UK, Document Snowboard and they are not always "serious" articles. Its good that is prepared to edit it and spice it up abit. IF the article you are talking about is 500 somethng.... then it was quiberon in West France. http://maps.google.co.uk/?ie=UTF8&ll=47.592041,-3.14415&spn=0.135913,0.352592&t=h&z=12 The beach on the west. The Elf
Cheers for a good mag, keep up the good work. Love the photography - think alot of people do. maybe you could have a few pages dedicated to readers images and some pro images? some magazines i have read in the past (mountain biking etc - nothing top shelf:p ) did pull out posters etc..have you thought about that at all? if so, what was the general consensus on that? could there also be a classifieds section or something similar? Thanks again and keep up the good work, Will

benne
Oh, and NOTHING to do with water - there are enought kite surf mags out there to start with - lets stick to terra firma - lets be jonest, we all know it is cooler!!! It doesn't have anything to do with water? I edit Kitesurf Mag for the water stuff so no need to put any water stuff in KS. I didnt say it did have any water based stuff in there, just posotive feedback on that very fact - like was requested, so..... keep it that way, unless as Geoff said, its something different!! Benne - Smith's didn't have it on the 2nd? Hang on, I'll call the MD now/ seriously I can't do anything about that. I got my copy from my local on the 1st. Subcsription is the best way around that and you save a bit. Would have been easier to answer the question than add this sarcastic heap of shit, I asked when the publishing date was, not when you know/think/want the mag to be on the shelves, for all I know it could be the 15th of the month

bartiebat1599968741
I went to the hairdressers last night & was handed a stack of women's mags as you do. I have to admit, I'm not a big fan, but sat in bacofoil for an hour it's something to do! Anyway, Marie Claire - Page 27 was when the 1st writing began & that was to introduce the magazine team, Cosmo was page 25 for the Eds bit & some pretending to be French sophisticated mag didn't actually start til a page in it's 30s! Jeez man, why do women buy them? It's all adverts & pictures followed by a really depressing 'real life' story!! I hate going to the hairdressers! & it was windy too!! noserider
I was only disappointed this time round because I didn't have a single photo in there!!!! So selfish! But that was a first for over 20 issues!!
Blue43
Oh yeah - Sparkes's gangsta article - I've got to hold my hands up I molested that one. Craig's not gone gangsta! Sorry Craig, aaiiight! But whoever it was that was moaning that the article reffered to a German kiter as a cat, are you serious? Would you prefer we just stuck to the perfect middle class English? No chance of that I'm afraid, I'd never get the mag finished for falling asleep... LOL I wouldn't hold your hands up they might shoot you judging by what I am reading lol seriouslythough I do buy PK mag and kite surf mag from my local Turbulence shop both mags for me are always good for a laugh and its a great read to hear about what team riders have been doing but thats my opinion others may not agree
