Mick14
Greetings Kite Flyers The 10th Annual Adelaide International Kite Festival is scheduled for the last weekend in March next year. The organising committee have secured enough sponsorship for an EXTRA HUGE event next year - we're talking international guests, competition prizes, free meals for registered kite flyers and lots more. We have a fantastic venue at Semaphore Beach for the display, suitable for buggying, mountain boarding and display kites alike, plus world-class locations within a short drive for extra days of kite boarding and buggying. You can bet on 30 degrees and 15-20 knot sea breezes in Adelaide in March. So plan a looong weekend in Adelaide in March next year. Lets make this Festival the biggest ever. Visit our website http://www.akfa.net/ for more information. Cheers Mick

nigel
Don't worry Sheppo, my Camry survived the dirt, yours will too! It won't survive if you try and copy Justin in his Subi, getting some air off the little dirt ramps on the road. The Camry with or with out bowls hat, will be attending. The Duke
I haven't had any hassles with the crumpledore Shultzie, it must be just that ol bus of yours is a little lower to the ground than mine. The only damage I sustained this year was a bruised ego and a slight loss of more skin.... I guess the wheels are supposed to stay on the ground aren't they. Oh well, they say if you don't fall out at least once, youre not tryin' hard enough. Be there or be square, this is a calendar "must attend" event. Robbo
yeah i'll be there once again, definatly as must attend event being 10th year and all
SHEPPO3930
ah ground clearance issues.. well the RS sits about 100mm off the ground completely empty, i cant go up alot of driveways and any bump is felt due to near solid suspension.. so i dont think the RS will attend. me however am a 70/30 in favour of attending now and house, pff i'll have one my march! Cesium
I notice that Ray Bethell is attending - that's really cool. Also noticed that there's a two-line freestyle demonstration this year. Wonder who's giving that, and whether I could hold my own. Regards, Adrian. Andy Mac
Mick, no mention of buggying out at lower light or any races planned on the website (That I found...). Is anything organised for this year for the buggy crowd? Last year there were no races or anything as far as I remember hearing. Not sure at this stage if the Kombi will be heading across (Travel buddy Craig has pulled out officially) but have kept the time free and thinking seriously about it (Just for a free t-shirt). Cheers. LATE NEWS: Scratch all that - just found the fine print in the program saying no pre-festival buggy racing planned.
schultzie
well regardledd of the fact im going to lowerlight... we can have our own races, they werent organised last year but we stil turned up... im takng a trailor, im sure that you would be happy to ca pool if the combi isnt ready, at sema fore we are lookingin to staying in a cabin so at least it will be comfortable... you wil justhave to grin and bear the dirt whilst at lower light... now is that possabible??? nigel
I am in, buggying or no buggying. Come on Andy, join us for a kite! We don't have to go to lower light if the winds no good, as I am sure that the SA boys will be able to tell us the best place to be on the day. Any others interested in comming??? Adrian? You need to come and show the folks your tricks!! And meet Ray! No Craig?? Is he under the thumb??

ellery
Hey Justin and others, Unfortunately i won't be coming along. Plan to do a trip down to Adelaide down the great ocean road this winter. Saving up the pennies for equipment for the van (as well as trying to pay for the van at the same time) Enjoy it!
