Dick.tracy
Went out today Watergate Bay, so gusty it was terrible. Ripped the bar of my 3.5 rage out of my hands, snapped the safety. Is there anywhere good on the south coast, where the wind is coming from? It should be must less gusty.

andrewjohn
Not really for land based stuff. Watergate needs to be cross-on or on IMHO. You can get away with a E-SE at Godrevy if it's lowish wind, but unless its SW to NNE i just don't bother any more.
Skyhooked
hello DT, where abouts in newquay do you live? for southerlies, you can buggy at par beach at low tide. take some waterproof trews as the sand often has puddles all over it - but is usually nice and very hard packed went to watergate kitesurfing today at about 12 noon - yes the wind was awfully gusty - i was having to work hard to keep a 7m SLE under control. good waves though! Hello mate, I'm up at St Columb Minor. Saw you on the beach, as we went and joined our good ladies up at the hotel bar for a coffee afterwards, you set up just below us. Par sounds alright, have to give it a lookover sometime.
