We are filming a TV Channel Ident on Tuesday 11th July & we are looking for a few extras to come along to Saunton Sands for an hour. The client is the Premier League's TV channel and we are looking for a handful of people to come along and do nothing more taxing than stretch out on a beach towl. Contact matthew.marcroft@img.com for details, if interested. Unfortunately, we won't being filming your kiting skills on this occasion but I am hoping to get a sesh in once we've finished, if the wind plays ball!

Morning All, I am looking to see if anyone kites of the front or in the harbour at Mudeford, this spot is fairly local to me and a lot less busy then Poole. I stopped kiting a year ago due to work commitments but am desperate to get back into it. Happy ridding up wind and body dragging so just looking for people to go out with and learn more. Would be great to here from people. Cheers Matt

Well, tonight seemed like a bit of a new start down at G land, with a few of the old faces down on the beach. (But a few still missing. You know who you are. ) So thought I'd start a new thread. If you're planning a trip down, get in touch. Please remember that there will be restrictions when the lifeguards are on duty, but still leaves a huge beach to play on. Details here. http://forum.kitecrowd.com/location-guidelines-restrictions/gwithian-restrictions-09-a-165365.html Not sure of the dates this year, but the place we kite is basically where the restricted zone is, so makes no odds, as Godrevy is too busy during life guard hours anyway. Anyway. Good evening session tonight. A bit more wind would have been nice, but good to catch up.

Hi - Been hiding for about 6 years in Scandinavia but finally had to come back to Blighty for a short while..... What's the craig with buggying these days - used to spend a lot of time at the HO! in particular and was really after rules and regs generally so that I don't turn up somewhere and be disappointed. Is buggying still as big as ever or is it the dedicated few that still shoot off down the beaches at every chance they get. any info would be great thanks Frakke

Hi I've recently taken up kitesurfing and have got the bug! I have also just moved from London back to Bristol after moving away for 8 years. I get 2 weeks off per month as I go abroad and work for the other 2 weeks so I have plenty of time to spend trying to improve my kitesurfing! Though I have lots of chums in Bristol unfortunately none of them are into kiting as quite a few of them surf instead. therefore I'm looking for people who'd be interested in hooking up sometimes for some kiting when the conditions are right. I guess Weston is the closest to me but not aesthetically pleasing as somewhere like North Devon or parts of South Wales. Anyway travelling isn't a problem for me if it gets me to somewhere that's going to be ripping! I'd be pleased to hear from you if you're in a similar situation.. Tada!!

Hello the forecast looks spot on tomorrow (Sat 31 Aug) and im desperately seeking for onshore breezes. the tide is less than 7m with high water at 3pm. can a local confirm whether there is any beach at high water with this size tide to allow for some buggy freestyle (don't need huge amounts of beach). many thanks for your help

Hi all, I'm in the south west for a week hoping to get going with some landboarding, unfortunately the winds for this week are forecast from the north and east. It looks like I'm in the wrong place , are there any beaches worth trying? Many thanks!

I know there are a few forum members who fly at Bidford meadow, so I thought I would start a thread and see what happens. Had a good fly tonight:) Brian was down with his 6m Sammy and Rage and there was also a 4m Blade in the air. Post away...

Hi, My mate and I have 4 days we could spend down Westward Ho from Saturday 22nd Sept to Tuesday 25th Sept. Would anyone out there know the highest low tide that would offer usable beach for buggying and land boarding. Would a visit over that period be worthwhile? Thanks Jim Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi all, I'm staying with a friend on Wednesday (maybe Thursday too) and wondered which beaches near Bristol are the best for kite landboarding, and are allowed of course. Anyone free Wednesday / Thursday to meet up? I'll check the tide times too when I know which beaches to go to. Thanks Chris

Anyone hitting Weston tomorrow? Sent from my HTC Vision using Tapatalk

Seems that we have to start the thread again! Come and join the fun down at Hudson's Field in Salisbury. Whole bunch of buggiers and boarders from Salisbury, Andover, Sturminster area, and visitors from all over. During the summer there are no football/rugby posts up, so we have 60 acres to play in. When you're thirsty there's the pub on the corner:D. We also do trips to the beach. France is beckoning soon.......

me and ben will be there from about 1 till sundown

Hey folks, Did a search on the forum and just dug up some old posts, but i'm wondering if there is anywhere in the Chippenham/Calne and surrounding area that is suitable for boarding? I think Barbury Castke used to be an otion, but that seems to eb a no-go now from what I can make out, and i'm not sure about the gallops near the White Horse. ANy local flyers point me in the right direction? Cheers P.
-
anyone else going to be there or is it just me and ben as normal =] we will be there from about 8-high tide. looks like a bit of a low wind one but it will be good fun. anyone interested?
