Ahoy there, New to Cardiff - old(ish) to kiting. Have been out for a couple of consecutive days now and am wondering what took me so long to move to the coast! Anyone around down here??

Hi All, I've been out of kiting for a bit and new to kiting in South Wales. I want to take advantage of the bank holiday and get out land boarding again. I'm based in Cardiff anybody got any advice on good kite spots or any meets/anyone heading out over the weekend. Cheers Scott

As the weather seems to be clearing up but still decent wind i'm just wondering if anyone is about tomorrow? Its my first proper session back for a while for one reason or another but i'm dying to get out...was thinking rest bay (if its allowed there?) or aberavon?

Are there any problems with using this beach for a spot of static flying, jumping and scudding etc...? I haven't visited Llansteffan in many years so i don't know if any rules have been added in regard to what we can use on the beach. Iv bought myself a new toy for Christmas and as the winds are supposed to be significantly lighter on Boxing day id like to go out to play

Ok, so working in a school ive luckily been awarded this next week off which i intend to spend testing out the new board (which so far ive only managed to test on a few sketchy hills). Anybody gonna be around the south wales area over the next week or so to laugh at me hurting myself or to give me a few general kite or board tips?

Just wondering if anyone's about this weekend? I'm trying to get out Sunday as the wind looks pretty good and the sky looks like it may (touch wood) be clear. Gotta test out the new landboard so you'll be guaranteed a laugh at me repeatedly stacking it! Not sure where though, aberavon I think is gonna have ENE winds, is that good or bad? Ha ha!

Sorted my first kite so keen to hit aberavon in true newbie style! Anyone down there this sunday and know what the conditions are gonna be like?

I would like to take the family on a road trip in Wales for about 10 days in April. Can you guys reccommend some nice places to go, both for kite buggying and walking in the mountains? I've been up to the Gower and know about Pembrey and Pendyne, but I don't know anything about some of the other interesting beaches or places to go. And I don't know anything about the mountains and the wife is demanding that we spend half our time there, trying to force our small kids to hike. We'll be going with 2 kids (4 and 7 years old) so any child friendly places or destinations would be great as well. Anybody know any nice campsites? We aren't natives and know nothing about what's interesting in Wales, so don't think anything is too obvious. Thanks in advance

hey i'm down in Port Talbot, and have yet to see any snow but hear others are getting flooded with some, i may have one day over the weekend free, but have two days off work next week Mon & Tue and really want to try my hands at this Snow Kiting although a small roadtrip may be needed, anyone local know of any spots to look at or even fancy a drive away to have a session in the snow?

Lost at pembrey 19-10-2010. Black air rush board with green dragon motif underneath and red fins last spotted disappearing up the estuary:eek: Reward for safe return.

Hi , down near the gower this weekend visiting family heard a lot about the beachs around the gower so any advice would be appreciated especially beachs in a southerly. Also if anyone is out and about on Saturday and would like to meet up for company, let me know Paul "Forgot to mention kitesurfing looking for waves to"

I've been trying to make sense of all the threads for beaches on the Gower but am getting confused. Can anyone give me a list of beaches where kiting is allowed and where kiting is banned? I'm planning on going rock climbing at three cliffs bay and thought I could get a bit of kiting done too.
