    Pansh Legend 2M

After having read the reviews / posts on this site and others with regard to Pansh kites, I decided to see for myself and with a 2m Legend....

    My Impressions:

Service and price - excellent, the kite arrived in a matter of days, I was kept informed when it was leaving and made use of the TNT website to track it's journey, 3 days from china to my hands, not bad at all.
The price, amazing, $59 including shipping, what more can be said.

Build quality - the foil itself I am really impressed with, good solid stitching, nice shape, stitched in logo's. nothing wrong with that at all. The bridle, looks a bit messy compared to my Peter Lynn Rebble, but it functions. The lines, nasty, very nasty, they may now be supplied pre-stretched but they're like rope! The handles, OK, not brilliant but not horrific, could probably do with being a little fatter and longer for my taste.

Setting up - I'm a newbie to kiting, my rebble arrived set up and RTF, so this was all new to me, I set up using the knots on the bridle leaders and handle leaders that were already there. Easy enough, there's no instructions, but it was obvious what went where.

First Flight - Awful, it flew but not very well at all, luffing, stalling, it generally felt wierd. However, after shortening the power lines by about 3 inches (the brakes were already as long as possible) I tried again, what a difference 3 inches can make!! It felt really nice, stable, fast turning and generated a fair amount of pull, the wind had picked up from around 10 to about 14-15 mph and the legend actually started to pull me forward quite a lot. I couldn't feel much lift, but plenty of pull, it'll turn on a sixpence with a tiny bit of brake as you turn.

Final Thoughts - a brilliant kite for very little money, even if I swap the handles and lines for some that I prefer, this is still a bargain. I only intended using it in high wind and maybe for the other half to play with while I'm flying the rebble, but I really think it might see quite alot of use.

I to brought a 2m legend just to see and for my 6 year old son to have ago. But me to, I'm impressed and like it alot. I certainly will be using it alot more than intended. Have found that the pre-stretched lines still do stretch a bit, but not a problem.

Further to my review, i've been flying the little legend loads, and now love it. it has plenty of pull for getting me going on the landboard and i even managed to jump with it, not high, admittedly but it felt very stable and safe (very high winds) i'm even still using the supplied lines and handles and have got used to them!!

Fully agree with all that has been said, This is my first powerkite and I LOVE IT! As a beginner it was also still obvious about the brake lines being too short, this led to a difficult first flight, but since shortening the flight lines it's fantastic!

60MPH WIND ARE YOU NUTS, 35 to 40 MAX!! Especially with th provided lines.. If one had snapped under the load it would have been ugly. the kites are rated because of line strength, the strength of the bridle attachment points. I'm really suprised you didn't rip your kite in half,Literally! I'd say a little research and practice is in order....SFK
