    Flexifoil Buzz

You know when you are out, playing with your kites and board... or buggy if you are that way inclined... and someone is hanging around looking like they want to ask for a go?

THAT it what this tiny kite is for!

    Start with the basics......

It comes in a lovely colourful drawstring bag... as usual Flexifoil have even thought about this and the bottom of the bag is mashed for drainage.... other kite manufacturers take note!

Cost? OK... this ISN'T a £20 kite.... £59.99 is the retail so not earth shattering money, but higher cost than say an HQ symphony...... Is it worth the extra? Read on.........

Pull the package out and regular Flexifoil owners will feel at home straight away.... it's all just shrunk!

Some other 2 line foils have obviously had little thought put into the finish... NOT the Buzz, it has really well constructed bridles, in what looks to be the same line as the Bullets and blades, and they are held in place with the usual flexifoil bridle tidy Velcro.

The lines themselves are not some cheap twine they had hanging around in China but decent 80lb flexi lines complete with the easy release tags and colour coding! They are wound onto a line tidy and attached at the other end are some good quality fabric handles.

ALSO in the bag is a SIX month repair card.... that is some faith in the product!

Oh, good instructions and quite a few flexifoil stickers too.... very good marketing... kids will LOVE them!

ENOUGH of the twaddle adamski.... What's it like to fly?

Well.... unwind the lines, put the wrist straps on, quick tug and UP she goes.

A little dissapointing..... it wobbles, shimmies and falls about in the air like some kind of airborne epileptic green jellyfish! falling about and refusing to turn, even just crashing to earth!

Then..... about two or three minutes in... it settles, the bridles find the right shape, the rip-stop fills out and you have a load of smiles on lines... it ROCKS!

This kite flies incredibly fast if you zoom it about the window, yet remains stable and in control.... it sits happily at the edge of the wind window ready to slip down for landing or turn and back into the power for MORE laughs and giggles!!

It has very little "power" but at 0.8m what would you expect? Wind range.... it will fly in as little as 7mph... dont know about the top end but I am REALLY looking forward to finding out!!

What it does have in spades is FUN..... it behaves exactly as it is, a scaled down "proper" kite. This would be an awesome introduction into kiting for any child or even adult..... you could happily let someone play with this who had never flown before and have them well and truly hooked on our hobby in minutes.

The next time that Dad and Lad combo are looking wistfully at out Phantoms or venoms I can wander over and get them on the track of expense, excitement and stained underwear with this baby.....

Interesting Review, personally I can't fault the Symphony 1.4 (again about 0.8 sqm I think) that my 8 year old flies. He's scudded fine in about 15mph, and in a 30mph+ I could have certainly got my board going. I agree though, these little foil kites in high winds are just a fantastic blurr in the sky, and simply awesome fun. I like the

The buzz was my first kite - and i have to say it's a fantastic way to get hooked into kiting! My fella after flying it for a couple of days decided he wanted in and bought himself a beamer!! I do think the price tag is fair - as it's based on trust and quality you can sometimes never get from other manufacturers. Awesome fun in strong wind - will put a big cheesy grin on anybodys face :D

I bought my Buzz for a 6 year old, and sometimes let him have a go. Its Always in the boot of the car for instant use. Next time the winds blowing 35mph get out the buzz, it will make you smile till it hurts. Is it worth the cost? well I first bought my lad a cheap
