    Flexifoil Bullet 3.5M

Personaly I like Bullets, having got a few of the pre2005 variety.

From personal experience the 05 Bullet does not like turbuleence/gusts especially offshore wind, even when the kite is parked above you.

It has a tendency to collapse then inflate down in the window. Any variable wind tends to make it very twitchy. Makes you wonder what would happen if the last 2/3 cells were sealed would it be more stable.

Smooth onshore wind is it's best environment.

Construction is good and to the usual high quality. Colour scheme is fine although boring compared to the old style flo greens, reds, golds of the old range.

Bridles all well stiched stiff so this helps avoid bridle fankles.

In flight I find you concentrate more on this kite making sure it doesn't pull any unexpected surprises, however there is less tendency to pull sudden spins if you over control (compared toearlier Bullets). I get the feeling that increased stability in return for a small loss of manoeverability is no great shakes, though the kite is still less relaxing than other makes in similar sizes.

Up wind performance is less pleasing than other types although cutting accross the wind performance is fine though not on a par with say a 3m Samurai or Rebble which I think a similar kites in this class. I have found a 3m Sammy will outclass the 3.5 Bullet on most days.

Locking the kite in position whilst buggying is more troublesome compared to other types.

Kite killers are the best I've seen (no changes there) although the bungee could do with being trimmed down when buggying so as not foul wheels.

Lines are colour coded red/blue filight and grey for brake and more than up for the job.

Overall not great but not bad. Out of 10 I'll give it a 7.

Hi Ferretish, Can't say for the 3.6 Beamer have only flown the smaller sizes, but I'd say the New style 2.5m Beamer is great for thrashing around, recovers well from all sorts of mistakes and is a pretty good kite and a heck of a laugh in a buggy. If your mate has no flying experience I'd probably try out the 2.5 Bullet as it will always have place in his kite bag for those higher wind days. If he's limited for cash get the New 2.5 Beamer (don't bother with the old style). The 2005 3.5 Bullet seems more stable than it's predecessors, I'd probably say you'd have to find one and give it a try. I find the Bullets interesting to fly I know that not every one likes them. Probable less forgiving than the Beamer(?) Power it's pretty good not to be underestimated, if you judge it wrong it be a handful, though I find this 05 Bullet easier to land in high winds, though it's pretty rubbish in gusty conditions (see above)
