    Eolo Radsail Sport Buggy

After messing around with kites for about 5 years, owning a c-quad (animal) quadrifoil xxl ( like flying a 747 on remote control with dodgy batteries) and picking up a cheap 5m Peel off a friend I thought I would get myself a buggy and stop pratting around and get into it proper!

Well I looked at several buggies and found the Eolo Radsail Sport Buggy priced at £249 This seemed a fair bit cheaper than the other buggys, flexi and peter lynn etc so I thought I would go for it when I got home from my next offshore trip. It was while I was surfing on ebay I found this buggy for £165 "buy it now" I couldnt believe the price so I did!

It arrived 2 days later packed in a box that was at first worryingly small. After unpacking it and putting it together in the kitchen (standard flyers first test area)

I couldnt believe it, All stainless, the seat was actually comfy and it had plenty of adjustment in the frame and seat for differing sizes of riders.

I couldnt wait for wind to get it out!

And I didnt have to wait long, the buggy collapses well into four main peices so will fit in the smallest of car boots, its light and well constructed and really easy to break apart for transport. The central spar has two quick release bolts (push bike style) and the rear axle splits in two on sprung locator 'nobbles' your then left with the main frame spars and seat which simply stay together due to the seat.

It has an obscenely low center of gravity and fells incredibly well planted and stable at speed. If anything mny main quibble with this bugy is the fact that you are sat so low into it your backside is literally 2 inches off the ground, which is fine if like me you use it on a beach but if you were to use it on rougher more uneven ground you could be asking for trouble as you are guaranteed to catch your arse on everything which will do the seat and your arse no favours at all!

The other quibble I have is the lack of a splash guard but I was lucky enough to be given one by a great guiy on sandwich bay (Cheers John) and that helped a lot. Flexifoil splashguard fits fine! Hopefully Eolo will produce some accessories for it in the near future

Well Eolo have done it again, cheap and well made, does everything I have asked of it so far very very well! Riding on two wheels is not easy as it has such a low centre of gravity and the rear axle is reasonable wide in comparisson to say a Flexi but other than that I cant fault it. The wheels are well made and take the standard size bearings if you mash any, not that I have yet, but sea and sand are not your bearings best friend whatever you ride!

All in all a superb buggy, faultless for the price. Long may Eolo keep this up.

Very informative review - nice one. Alot of people tend to go for the "big brand" Buggies, which usually cost a small fortune! But this shows EOLO have managed to produce a quality product at a great price tag (as they have done also, with their RadSail PRO line of Kites). :) Will be interesting to hear how the buggy stands the test of time.... Tempted :)

In answer to your question Custheyder Im 13 1/2 stone, so Im not what you might call a 'light' rider, I havent heard anythjing detramental regarding the strength of this buggy so I guess time will tell. Any problems I have with it I will certainly put a post on to keep folks informed. BlindJP

I unfortionately have seen one of these ( brand new) fall apart in its first session. the plastic clips holding the seat on on the first production models were stupidly weak, one of the guys i fly with broke 2 buckles on one run ! bodged a repair with karibiners and went for another run , and broke the remaining good buckle , he weighs less than me and i am onlyjust over 12 stone ! He took the buggy straight back that day and it was replaced for a second hand flexi bug . THis was about 6 months ago though so eolo may have sorted it , but that was dangerously weak , the buggy didnt even last 10 minutes of use !
