I do, just cos you haven't the kite skills for it , no tides and no worrying about if the beach will be useable that day.
@Yoda, had a great sess down Bromhams on Sunday, did quite a few nose and tail grabs and a few flying squirrels.
I learnt in the days before kite killers existed, i can see that they have their place but it's too easy to get dependant of them plus at times, once you've progressed far enough, they can be a liability.
anyone remember the poll i started awhile back "what's more important looking cool or being safe", still can't believe the amount of peeps that went for being cool.
What I find really dull is vids that are the same as all the others, there is a plethora of vids of peeps doing the same old stuff. What I like is something that breaks the mould and has some creativity and ambience in it, I get bored of seeing rotations and board offs, if they are so hard why are they in 80% of the vids out there ?
Just thought I'd share a little pic of me getting some air without a kite.
Hope you like it.

p.s. I know it's not my board, wanted to try out a deck with heel straps.
King george aint so good now the posts have gone up, plus there's a jobsworth parky that it's best not to annoy, it's got something to do with the fact that exeter city fc use it for training.
