    Not sure about kites, they've been around for thousands of years. I've an old copy of kite passion with an article about Indonesian kites that are made of leaves and have been for a very long time (they originally fished with them).

    I don't own a car and haven't for several years prefering to cycle whenever posssible. Also i haven't used any form of air transport since 1978.

    You need to take the hub apart, just make sure that all the pressure has been released from the tube before loosening the bolts.

    You don't need loops to use larks heads just a securing overhand knot on either end of the strop.
