hay cheers for the reply and that link its really usefully, think I might go for the 16 as i usually end up flying in lighter winds... just got to get the money together now
-
nice review. and very interesting, I plan to buy my first twin skin kite in a month or two (mainly for ATB) do u reckon I should go for the 16m venom II over 13m venom II, I ask because I noticed your comments about the wind range of the 16 compared with the 13m G2.

out of interest does the AAA system work with any non-flexi kites? I notice you say any "split secondary bridle systm" kites but how do you tell?
-
Hay Nice review! I did notice however that you don't have your kite killers connected correctly. They should be attached to the brake leader near to where your brake line attaches. Not a big issue in light winds but in stronger winds attaching the kite killer to the parking loop on the handles may not cause the kite to totally de-power when you deploy your killers. Check out the kite killers section in the how to guide if your unsure.

just out of interest why did you mark the blade down on practicality? you can strap your deck to the bag and it has extra pockets. I own the 6.5 and the bag is great, plenty of room to get the kite in. So y did it only get 3/5?

Just as a point of interest, I started out bugging with a seat harness but found that it was really restricted my movement and raised my center of gravity significantly. I now use a standard rock climbing harness and it works much better!

I agree completely, its a class kite. Do you find it overflys a little at the top of the window? -
nice review )

Great review, very useful, my little bro is thinking of another sting (1.7) to bridge the gap between his 1.2 and my 2.5 bullet. This may well have made his mind up!

Not so much a review of the wasp but none the less very good advice, and a tale that should be headed by others! Don't take a 13m FUEL out for your first ever kite flight! Let this be a lesson to all new kiters!

That is an unfortunate story all beginers beware....get safety gear. face plants on runways are not recomended! good review!

-
Good review, im a fan of the bullets too! I have a 4.5 (boy can it pull) and a 2.5 (caus I need something more gentle for when I get scared!) enjoy your new kite!

Great article - I've been wondering about how to do this for a while!

I agree - great review, it sounds like a bit of a scary kite if the wind starts to pick up........there is a 10.5 too you know......:-)
