    Suncreams

This is interesting i do alot of gliding and as such have to watch sun burn quite allot as there is little shade on airfields. I didn't realise that some sun creams stopped uvb but not uva shall have to check mine. Another topic that might be interesting to cover is dehydration but i guess most people stay on top of that as they drink to cool down.
  2. I've also had troubles with HQ kite killers but I have since realise why. The kite killers i had were attached to the brake leaders on the handles this meant that when realised there was no enough travel to completely depower the kite. Since moving the kite killer to attach to the brake lines themselves i have had no problems. Agree with what is said about this kite had a great blast around with it yesterday on my board no jumps but working on reverts and turning 180 quickly on rear wheels.

    HQ Crossfire 5M

How long have you had the kite? My bag fell apart after about 2 months i think it deserves the reputation its got. They are damn good till they break though, The kite itself though is so awsome u need not complain. I totally agree about the handles as well.

    HQ Beamer 2.5M

Beamer 5m is a nice kite with lots of easy to control power, brilliant for learning to mountain board

    HQ Crossfire 1.7M

Where did you buy this? and how much? I hadn't heard of a 1.7 m and with the strong wind recently i am interested
  6. Yeah diffenately get yourself a helmet, the cross fire will lift you up easily and if you land on your head it hurts, have got a video of my mate flying the crossfire with out a helmet and you see his head bounce when he hits the floor!!
  7. The cross fire bag looks the part for the first few months but mine completely fell apart on saturday, which is a shame because the pockets and folding over bit are perfect for carrying shades, bar etc im now making do with an old hiking back pack

    Flexifoil Bullet 3.5M

Thanks sort of what i expected he will try before he buys so im sure he wont get something that doesn't suit him.

    Flexifoil Bullet 3.5M

Whats the power like in comparason to a 3.6m beamer i assume its alot more. Im interested as a friend of mine is looking to buy a bullet and he only flown a sting and my beamer, which he seemed to be finding quite allot of work.
  10. So many people have these kites it would be interesting to see how many football fields could be covered by 3.6 m beamers. I just bought a crossfire which i am slowly getting to grips with, but the beamer is still good fun in high winds and is doing a good job of helping me learn to land board.

    HQ Beamer II 3.6M

I have had my beamer about 6 months now i think? and have flown it in some very! high winds and have had no trouble with the lines. The only problem ive had is the power line attachment ropes cutting away at the foam on the handles. Im now looking for a bigger kite is the 5m crossfire good?
  12. These things look incredible check out this video and im sure you'll agree, http://www.wimp.com/gliding/

    Flexifoil Sting

The sting is a great kite my friend has one, for the first few weeks i thought it was to small and a bit pathetic, but having flown it in an absolute gale in cornwall and scudding miles with it by doing figure of 8s with a bit of brake to slow it down and get it to produce some power, im a convert too. great for when you dont dare get a bigger kite out

    Flexifoil Sting

My friend has one of these its good fun and you can give your arms a break from the bigger kites

    HQ Beamer II 3.6M

Yeah the pull in low winds isn't much but it will still fly in low winds, it feels great in stong winds but as you move it up above you all the pull just goes out of it.
