All will fit on barrow rims Barrows can have tubes if you prefer MIDI & bf generally run tubeless FB better when the sand is softer a little harder midi and hard barrows

I had my 1.2 sting out in a steady 60 mph wind on top of a Dorset cliff top , where it took all my strength with two hands to open the car door , I jumped in the buggy the smallest of inputs had the kite dancing around the sky faster than my brain could compute ,total overload in the end it was ripped from hands with one handle narrowly missing a group of walkers! Amazing the standard lines took such forces, one of the scariest days I ve ever had kiting on what essentially is a kids kite.

Just to put it out there and maybe simplify things there are world records and there are world records. Popeye list is unofficial ( his words not mine) Official records (Guinness) again his not mine . Both have different guidelines one much harder than the other to achieve so the path you take is entirely up to you, mutual respect to both and if you disagree with the other then do something constructive about it , so interesting times ahead possibly:-) Good luck to you all

Oh mick , if only I could, so be honest I am completely exhausted with it all and as I said it's still on going and some competitors out there have still yet to negotiate some obstacles, so should I really give them a leg up ? If you knew some more you might agree with me :-) Hence why I have given you my phone number( I can call you if it's easier ) so I can tell you the story , over an evening lol if you then think I can condense it or you are willing to take notes and post then do . Carl Mick is right mtfu faster on your board than in your flexi bug !,,

Lol have to :-) @ u mick Yep you are right a monumental effort about 2 yrs and still on going . Weather , yep very big factor but then even I can't control that :-) Cost ...... Now this might surprise you sweet F A ! It cost me £10 for decals about £ 20 for T shirts and some time off work for meetings and on the day , I am self employed brickie . AND THAT FOLKS IS IT! The rest you beg borrow and steal and sweet talk your ass off. So practically anyone can do it. The land board one I can do with ease again tomorrow ( weather permitting) everything is in place but unfortunately the buggy one not so easy as we need a key person who s expertise is not available to us this time , so more begging borrowing stealing required. Now why don't I throw it open to all ? Well the logistics are immense and I would need a large number of dedicated helpers with excellent communication skills 24/7 .... So here's throwing it out there

Oh my gosh. 35.7 mph on a land board. That must be the fastest anyone's done shirley ? Well the fastest anyone's bothered to do as per the GWR guidelines ! Let's see how long it takes to better ! If everyone thinks is so easy , I am guessing quite a long time , so quick to put it down but not so quick to do it. Guy Martin was stepping up to the plate but attempt was put on hold and now looks to be further away since his accident

Guinness land speed record for kite board ! If you are not on face book then it will be pointless but if you do venture to the dark side " project-swift" -

I agree when I started kiting 6 yrs ago after coming out of paragliding ,which incidentally I feel has gone through the same process , kiting at my local (baiter Poole ) was quite popular always a good crowd now this yr it seems to be only me ! The strange thing I find is its only a mile or so from a very popular kite surfing venue it surprises me none of the kite surfers buy a land board to mess around on for when conditions are not to their liking or just don't fancy getting kitted up for a wet sesh . I buggy and bike and it never fails to attract interest amongst the public so you would think there would be some turn over of people coming through and let's face it , it's not to expensive or difficult to learn . The other thing I have experienced though at various locations is hostility towards kiting even if static flying , so I ve just contradicted my previous sentence lol . It beats me So where does everyone hangout on FB ? The pages I've found seem to be just as dead. Surely micks comments make this site a must read but he can't comment unless we give him the fuel ! Mick ......I guess you have seen /heard we now have the official GWR .....but even that hasn't drawn comment since Friday like it did 6 months ago lol but Ian sure you will now lol Even Popeye has thrown in the towel and sold up ! -
I think my man has every right to show off his shiny helmet ! I was more worried about the "up the shorts shot ! " I think he held back behind the blo fart things to make it more interesting than just an empty beach :-)

Check this video out made buy kiting friend up the rd from me the other weekend :-)

Yeah I had to bite the bullet last yr with the FB thing think I am up to 6 friends ! And before anyone comments " that many " or not surprised ! Yeah yeah Shame though these forums seemed to have died from what I can see FB groups fare no better. Right I am off to see if I can delete some friends there's one bugger who a prolific poster and makes my phone light up like a Xmas tree, I know switch notifications off , kids keep telling me , but then how would I know when people post ? Oh bollocks I am to old for this sh ... Ok I am going to have a rant , well there's no one here to listen , Who's finds it more difficult these days to organise friends with smart phones emails Twitter FB instal ping pong what ever than back in the 70s you just rang them up and if you wee lucky they would answer if not last time you meet you would just say next sat 8pm such and such a place and low and behold you were all there :-) Maybe there's a reason why I haven't got many friends mmmmm

Cheers mick I will have a look at the link , when my friends went they said it was massive and could run for miles and really wide as well , they were aware that it was zoned as well , I can't be bothered to go all that way just for a free style area of beach . But one of them really insists we go, while the other keeps sells France as we are close, which I think is a better idea ,Les Hemmes seems huge

WhT s the best wind direction for Brancaster? Two of my mates went there after a meeting and loved it , talking about going again
