igeighty 1,098 Posted July 21, 2015 Report Share Great photos Jason, Where abouts is the lighthouse ? Mary can add it to her list of lighthouses to visit. Is it far enough north that stingers are a problem ? Mez 1 Quote Link to comment

twojaythomo 39 Posted July 27, 2015 Report Share No stingers this time of year, I think it's November-April from what I remember when I lived in Townsville Quote Link to comment
Jason 156 Posted July 30, 2015 Report Share Crocs are mostly too cold this time of year. Lighthouse is just south of Cooktown Here is the vid-https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=86beKFFDi_4 Chook and gum-nuts 2 Quote Link to comment

Northern Kites Australia 74 Posted November 30, 2015 Report Share Yeah come up guys. Townsville is brisslelling with wind at the mo, around 15knots and up. Rob - Ian here says Hi. Oonoonba Park is waiting! :() Bushland Beach on ultra-low tide is awesome for buggys and land kiting (recent self discovery), and waters are great for kite surfers too. Winds around NE-NNE or NW are good for it. Pallarenda, good on low tide for land boarding, mowing lawns, but corrugated. Need 10inch grannies. Yeah stinger suits now until March/April 2016, but hardly a croc... too open and wide for them to risk an attack. Kites scare them off too. Quote Link to comment
